Northern Star Polish Harry Potter Gift Set

Today I have this super cute, awesome gift set from Northern Star Polish to show you guys. I was thrilled when I got picked to receive this set to review, I'm a big HP fan. The set comes in it's own box, sealed with a golden adhesive ribbon, with the polish and cuticle oil ingredients in the back. It includes 1 full size polish called Protego Totalum, 1 full size container of cuticle oil in the scent Butter Brew, some holographic gold lightning glitter and 2 owl charms in a little star container, and a little charm bottle totem full of red and gold glitter. Pretty & Polished Dusty Cremes Water Marble

A couple of months ago, when Pretty & Polished released the Dsuty Cremes for fall, someone asked in the fan group if they watermarbled. So I tested them out and yes, they do indeed. Since that was a while ago, I recreated it in one finger and a tiny container to show you guys how they spread. Enjoy!

Macro

For the original water marble I let it dry and then applied as decals. In the tutorial, the colors didn't come out as crisp, mostly due to the small container and how quickly I was trying to get it done, less drops of color means I have to work faster. The used an empty cuticle balm container to water marble in.

Pretty & Polished Jawbreaker

This isn't technically untried so I didn't title it as such, but think of it as the next one in that series. Jawbreaker from Pretty & Polished was one of my 1st indie purchases. I did wear it at the beginning of the year and attempted to stamp over it. It was not good, mainly because I barely knew how to stamp then. Anyway, check below for a review.

Neon Holo Roses Nail Art Tutorial

I belong to an amazing group of women that come together to talk about their love of nail polish and nail art. Our founding member recently and unexpectedly passed so we got together to do nails in her honor. The themes where Floral or Pigs since those are things she loved. For my manicure, I decided to use some products that were made by two ladies in the group, Shinespark Polish and M Polish, stamped with roses from UberChic 1-02. Orange and Black Stamping Tutorial

I have what I consider a nail fail for you guys today. I wanted to create a orange and black damask look but I didn't have any damask stamping plates so this is as close as it got. I've since remedied the situation and got some plates. I did these about a month ago but like usual, I'm posting it now. Because I must be some sort of masochist I actually went and recreated these on one nail last weekend so I could bring you a tutorial. Enjoy!

I totally got this idea from Moni's Manis, she has a series where she posts swatches of her untried polishes in between press samples and nail art. I've been trying to make a dent in my untrieds by wearing a new one everyday. So I thought I would start posting some of them since I have quite a few. I started with Pahlish An Caisteal Ruadh from last year' fall collection. I'm shamed to say it sat untried for about a year until I finally wore it a month ago. Beige to Black Gradient Tutorial

Hi guys! A few weeks ago my best friend posted in a FB nail polish group asking for help with a gradient. I did this video to help her out. It's a little longer than most of my usual videos because I go over more steps. Her original design was black to beige, I meant to do it the same way but ended up reversing the colors on accident. Orange Rose Fall Stamping

Hi guys! Apologies for the lack of posts this week, just life stuff preventing me from blogging. I wish I had more time in the day. Today I'm showing some simple fall themed rose stamping I did a few weeks ago. I used Kiko Pineapple from the Cupcake collection as the base, followed by M Polish Hottie, with a rose pattern from Dashica Beauty Infinity Nails 106.

Essie Leggy Legend & Frock N' Roll - Swatches and Review

Hispanic Heritage - Puerto Rico Nail Art

Hi guys! Today I have a special post. Monica of Moni's Manis came up with the hashtags #latinanailbloggers and #latinanailgirls on IG as a way of supporting fellow Latinas and having a way to quickly look up swatches and nail art done by ladies with skin tones similar to our own. Since October is Hispanic Heritage month, we are doing special manis in honor of our countries and cultures, and tagging them with #mynailsmyheritage. Gradient Lace Nail Art

I'm working my way through some old nail art I had saved but never got around to uploading and posting on the blog. This was a simple red to gray gradient with SinfulColors Professional Sugar Sugar and Orly Crossroads, stamped with Wet n Wild Black Creme with images from Messy Mansion plate M44.

Hi guys! Back in April I was a bridesmaid at a friend's wedding. Another one of my friends designed the invitations. The back of the RSVP card had the most beautiful ocean sunset watercolor that I had to do some nail art inspired by it. Pretty & Polished - Petal Pusher

Pretty & Polished is one of my favorite nail polish brands for lots of reasons. One of those is the fact that they really care about their community and will occasionally have special polishes whose profits go straight to help out local charities or people in need. Keeping in mind with that, they wanted to do something special for October, being Breast Cancer Awareness month, that went beyond simply donating money to a charity. They wanted to do something to help out actual patients. One of their loyal fans suggested the marvelous idea of putting together a care package box to hand out to chemo and radiation patients. I for one, love this idea. Not a lot of people know that chemo can destroy your nails, they might not fall out but they can become extremely brittle, and your skin becomes severely dry and sensitive. I know this because of my mom, I've talked about her breast cancer journey before. She's always painting her nails now and using cuticle oil because it really helps them not look as bad. In short, it helps to feel just a little pretty and polished when dealing with cancer. It might seem trivial to some, but in my experience, it lifts morale. And so the idea for the Cancer Care Package was born.
