I totally got this idea from Moni's Manis, she has a series where she posts swatches of her untried polishes in between press samples and nail art. I've been trying to make a dent in my untrieds by wearing a new one everyday. So I thought I would start posting some of them since I have quite a few. I started with Pahlish An Caisteal Ruadh from last year' fall collection. I'm shamed to say it sat untried for about a year until I finally wore it a month ago. Check below for more swatches and a short review.
I took these photos around the time I got a new macro lens, the macro is blurrier than I'd like but I promise that I've improved a bit since then. An Caisteal Ruadh is a deep red jelly with flakes. Formula was a little thicker than I like, so I added a few drops of thinner. It did stain my cuticles a bit during clean up but not during removal, nor did it stain my actual nails. Overall I love this polish and I really like deep vampy reds for fall and winter.
Gorgeous swatch! I love the idea of swatching and reviewing untried polishes since they are more often than not too pretty not to share!

ReplyDeleteGreat swatch! I love this one, think I wore it once. I really like the idea of posting untrieds, I'm too embarrassed to admit how many I have! :)
