Pretty and Polished Winter Collection Nail Art Review

Hi guys! So, since Chelsea knows how crazy busy I am with getting ready to launch my line of stamping polishes, she sent me 5 of the new colors from her winter collection instead of all 12. And...since I knew she had a ton of amazing bloggers providing her with gorgeous swatches (which I'll link below)...I decided to do things a little differently. I took my time and created 5 different nail art looks with the polishes I got, wearing each for 1 day before moving on to the next. I am personally pleased with how these came out and I really enjoyed the more relaxed swatching pace. I think I might keep it up this way. As a funny note, you'll see how my nails get longer by the last swatch since I didn't want to file them until I was done. Scroll down for more pics and the review!

Untried Indies - Different Dimension Keep Urchin Up

Today I bring you another polish in my untried indies stash. I've had this for over a year and a half, just gathering dust. Yikes. It's Different Dimension's Keep Urchin Up from the summer 2014 Sea You On The Other Side collection. When I bought it, I remember asking my hubby for advice. At the time I was working as a real estate agent and I wasn't sure if I would have the guts to wear this to a showing, or have the time to wear it in my "free time" if it wasn't appropriate! Oh how things have changed. Now I think this one is actually pretty tame. Anyway, more swatches, links to video swatch, and super easy nail art below!

Today I have some holographic chevron nail art, inspired by @muchomanimani as part of a mani swap on Instagram. Her original was blue and orange and I made mine blue and gold. Northern Star Polish Harry Potter Gift Set

Today I have this super cute, awesome gift set from Northern Star Polish to show you guys. I was thrilled when I got picked to receive this set to review, I'm a big HP fan. The set comes in it's own box, sealed with a golden adhesive ribbon, with the polish and cuticle oil ingredients in the back. It includes 1 full size polish called Protego Totalum, 1 full size container of cuticle oil in the scent Butter Brew, some holographic gold lightning glitter and 2 owl charms in a little star container, and a little charm bottle totem full of red and gold glitter. Pink and Purple V-Day Nail Art

Hi guys! Today's post is a pink and purple Valentine's Day gradient nail art inspired by a similar mani done by thepolishedokie on IG. You can see her original post here. I really liked the way the pink and purple shimmery gradient looked so I replicated it with my Bettina Cosmetics polishes, Watermelon and Butterfly, then I did the gradient in reverse using a heart stencil from Glam My Mani.

Thanksgiving 2014 Mani

Hi guys! I'm back! I've been gone all week because I got sick. First I injured my right wrist, then the next day I came down with a fever and severe joint pain. As the days went on I also developed swelling in my fingers and feet plus intense muscles spasms. That was followed by an all over itchy, red, rash. At first I thought it was the flu, but as new symptoms kept appearing it became clear that I had chikungunya, which is a mosquito transmitted tropical virus that's causing an epidemic in Puerto Rico at the moment. I didn't go to the Dr, because my husband got it a few months earlier and had the exact same symptoms. There's nothing you can do about it expect treat the symptoms and wait for it to pass.

The worst thing about this virus is the joint pain and in my case, the swelling. It's very debilitating and you're basically stuck in bed all day. Now as a mom, that sounds like heaven, except it wasn't since I was in a lot of pain and with chills from the fever. Today is the first day that the swelling and pain in my hands is low enough for me to sit on the computer and type so I wanted to share the quick mani I did yesterday for Thanksgiving. Blue and Purple Gradient Nail Art

OPI Get Your Number

Hi guys! Today I have some simple yet stunning (in my opinion) gradient nail art with a chevron accent. For this mani I used OPI Liquid Sand colors from the Mariah Carey collection, the blue is Get Your Number and the purple is Can't Let Go. I created the chevrons with nail vinyls from Glam My Mani that where sent to me for review. I have more pics including some macros/close-ups and a picture tutorial after the break!

Half Moon Glitter Nail Art

Today I have some half moon glitter nails that I created using french tip nail vinyls from Glam My Mani; with Pretty & Polished Life is a Bowl of Cranberries, Essie Wicked, and Noodles Nail Polish Autumn Berry. Life is a Bowl of Cranberries is a red-purple duochrome so there's lots of pics after the break!

Pink Glitter and Chevron Nails

I have some pink nail art for you today. I did these about a month ago but hadn't gotten around to posting them. I had Pretty and Polished's Contents Under Texture sitting in my untried box for a while so I really wanted to do something cute with it. I paired it with China Glaze's Astro-hot and actually sandwiched it between layers of ORLY's Uncharted.
