Hi guys! I'm back! Did you miss me? That's the longest break I've had to take, I completely missed my one year bloggaversary. Sad. I'm still in the process of moving, currently living with my parents while our stuff arrives in FL, which means I don't have access to my lightbox or lights. If you've been following along on IG these past few weeks you'll know that my nails are currently super short due to breaks from all the cleaning and packing. While they grow a bit, I'll be bringing you some posts featuring nail art and swatches from my archives. Today's look was done back in January but it's kinda perfect for summer. I used polishes from Bettina Cosmetics and Orly.

Guest Post from MomMrsandMe

Saturday, April 18, 2015
Hi guys! Today's post is a little different. Shawna from Mom Mrs & Me is taking over my blog today and I'm posting over at hers. So make sure you check out both our blogs to see what we came up with!

Hello lovely readers of Mama Hearts Polish!  Thanks to you all for reading my guest post today, and big thanks to Nadia for letting me crash her blog!

My name is Shawna and I run the blog Mom, Mrs., and Me.  I feature mainly indie brand nail polish and products, and I also dabble in freehand nail art :)

Nadia and I decided to collaborate to do our own designs inspired by this beautiful one!  I do not have the same plate used in the original, but I do have lots of pretty floral designed ones that I was more than happy to use.

Here is the design I came up with:

And it glooooooows!!!! :D

For the circular gradient, I used "Pink Lantern" in the center and "Lavendaringly Bright" for the outer circle, both by the brand Serum No. 5.  I stamped an image from one of the Flowers plates from Ali Express using Burgundy nail polish from MoYou Nails.  I mattified it all using Zoya's Matte Velvet Topcoat.  I'm pretty happy with it, even though there are a few spots where the image didn't fully transfer.  It was a very bright and springy design ^_^  What do you think?

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and thanks for reading my post today!  You can head on over to My Blog to check out Nadia's gorgeous design!!  If you enjoy this design and would like to see more I've done, you can find me on Instagram and Facebook.

Have a terrific weekend!! <3

Hi guys! Today I have a nail art look I created with hibiscus flower water decals (item 17643 decal XF1066) that I received from Born Pretty Store for review. I created a soft pink gradient with I Louvre You from FingerPaints nail polish and Careless Whisper from Fair Maiden Polish, and used the decals as accents. Born Pretty Store offers a large variety of nail art items at great prices and worldwide shipping. This is the second item I'm reviewing out of the four I received.

Pink Butterfly Stamping

Pink Butterfly Stamping with M Polish Apple Blossom over Zoya Savita using Dashica Infinity plate 106

Hi guys! I've had this mani in my head for a few weeks, ever since I received Zoya Savita in a BHB nail thread swap from @southernandpolished. I stamped over it with M Polish Apple Blossom and used my new Dashica Infinity plate 106. My nails are quite nubby at the moment, too much stress has led to a few breaks and nibbles. It doesn't mean I can't rock some awesome nail art though! It's the best way of know of leaving my nails alone so they can grow again.

Play-love-laugh-peel-off-nail-polish-review

Hi guys! Today I have a review of a new to me brand Play Love Laugh. The interesting thing about these polishes is that they are made from a fruit and vegetable base and are peel-off. They are vegan, gluten-free, and odorless, which makes them perfect for using on people with sensitive skin or little girls. On to the swatches and the review!

Black Lace Stamping over Knockout Lacquer It's All Over

black-stamping-red-base-nail-art

Hmmm, that's like a really long title isn't it? I admit that titles and coming up with names isn't my strong suit. Anyway, it's been quite here and I feel like giving you guys an explanation of why I've only been posting about twice a week. But since I know most of you are here primarily to look at pretty nails, I'll save it for the end. Today I have another one of those 31 Day Challenge manis that I didn't get to post. (See, I told you guys I had several just waiting to be posted...) The prompt for this one was red base. I chose It's all Over from Knockout Lacquer.
