Hi guys! I'm back! I've been gone all week because I got sick. First I injured my right wrist, then the next day I came down with a fever and severe joint pain. As the days went on I also developed swelling in my fingers and feet plus intense muscles spasms. That was followed by an all over itchy, red, rash. At first I thought it was the flu, but as new symptoms kept appearing it became clear that I had chikungunya, which is a mosquito transmitted tropical virus that's causing an epidemic in Puerto Rico at the moment. I didn't go to the Dr, because my husband got it a few months earlier and had the exact same symptoms. There's nothing you can do about it expect treat the symptoms and wait for it to pass.
The worst thing about this virus is the joint pain and in my case, the swelling. It's very debilitating and you're basically stuck in bed all day. Now as a mom, that sounds like heaven, except it wasn't since I was in a lot of pain and with chills from the fever. Today is the first day that the swelling and pain in my hands is low enough for me to sit on the computer and type so I wanted to share the quick mani I did yesterday for Thanksgiving. I did 2 coats of KBShimmer You Autumn Know, with a chevron accent using Cupcake Polish Rusting Over a Boy and chevron nail vinyls from Glam My Mani. There's not much to comment on the formula of these, they are both established indies with excellent formulas. You Autumn Know is a white crelly with different colors and sizes of hex glitters. Rusting Over a Boy is a rusty scattered holo.
I apologize for the dry cuticles in the pictures, it's hard to rub balm on your fingers when they hurt. Clean up also isn't the best for the same reason. Now that I'm felling better I plan on catching up since I have several weeks worth of pictures that I didn't get to post.
