Water Spotting Nail Art

Hi guys! Today's post is Day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge. I didn't forget, I actually have about a week's worth of posts already done, I just had to place them on standby when I got sick. I mentioned previously that I'm doing these behind schedule and I'm not planning on catching up either since the challenge only has a few days left. Pretty and Polished Swatches - Lean Mean Aquamarine and Maleficium

Hi guys! Did you miss me? I've been sick all week, along with everyone else in my household. Let me tell you, it's not easy fighting the flu when you also have to take care of two kids (one who is just a toddler) who also have the same flu. There was a lot of tv watching. I'm slowly starting to feel better so I figured it was time to get back to blogging.

I'm really excited for today's post actually, I really wanted to have this one up last week but it was just not possible between the coughing fits and the fevers. A couple of weeks ago, Chels, one half of the wife-husband team behind indie brand Pretty and Polished, asked the fan group for bloggers for the new collections. I jumped at the chance and will admit to letting out a squeal of excitement when she asked for my address. There was even more squealing when the package actually arrived. BHB Nails Challenge - Princess Luna

I have something a little different today. This week's BHB Nails challenge is nail art inspired by your avatar. Since my avatar is Princess Luna from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and my kids and I have been binge watching the show for the past two weeks, I figured I might as well actually do it since it seems fitting. I've done Princess Luna inspired nails before but my free-hand skills weren't that great so I decided to give it another go and created this mani based on her cutie mark. That's kind of a weird title isn't it? I just don't know how else to describe it. For Day 2 of the CNT 31 Day Challenge 2015, the prompt is "tape mani". I don't actually have any stripping tape so I used stripe vinyls from Glam My Mani, my acrylic paints, and Whipped from Sinful Colors Professional to create this look. There's more after the break!
