Today I have the Birthstone Polishes from Nail Hoot. This collection will be released in batches of 2-3 polishes until all the months are complete. So far, Brandie of Nail Hoot has released Ruby for July, Peridot, for August, and Sapphire for September. Swatches, macros, and video swatches below!
In order to not repeat myself, I want to start off by saying that these all have the same awesome formula. Really smooth and easy to work with, and super pigmented. I had no staining issues with any of them, neither on my nails nor on my skin.
Ruby - July
Ruby is a red holographic. Swatch is 2 coats without top coat. Formula is the best in this one, it's so opaque I could easily get away with just one coat. I'm dying to see how it stamps.
Peridot - August
Peridot is a yellow-green holographic. Swatch is 2 coats without top coat. This one is a bit more sheer than Ruby so it will need two coats unless you apply it very thickly.
Sapphire - September
Sapphire is a blue holographic. Swatch is 2 coats without top coat. In terms of color, this one was my favorite! Formula was more opaque than Peridot but not as much as Ruby. This one could also be a one coater if applied more thickly.
