Today I have swatches and a review for 6 of the 12 new colors that Bad Bitch Polish is releasing for summer. The collection is called Summer Playlist and it's inspired by classic summer songs. These colors are all super bright and with the exception of one (a teal which I don't have for you guys), they are not neons. Don't be disappointed, what this means is that they don't have that finicky matte neon formula, instead they are gorgeous cremes that dry to a super shiny and smooth finish on their own. Swatches, macros, and video swatches below!

Wipeout

Wipeout is a creamy tangerine orange. Swatch is 3 coats, no top coat. It is opaque in 2 coats. I added a 3rd coat to smooth it all off perfectly. It dries to a shiny and self leveled finish without the use of top coat. You can do 2 coats and top coat if wanted. The 3rd coat also brightens the color. Formula is smooth and easy to apply. A little bit on the thicker side, these polishes are great for stamping and other nail art as well.

A Summer Song

A Summer Song is a really bright lime green creme. Swatch is 3 coats. Same exact formula as Wipeout. I did have to edit these swatches in Photoshop for color accuracy. I think the macro shows the color correctly. It is a really bright green but not neon. My camera picked it up more bluer, and I lost some of the brightness when editing.

Summertime Blues

Summertime Blues - bright blue creme. Swatch is 2 coats. So I think that Brittany is a genius when it comes to creme polishes and she knocked it out of the park with this one. This polish is actually beautifully opaque and smooth in one thick coat. I added a 2nd thin coat just cause it feels weird not to. No staining on nails or skin after removal, amazing smooth formula. It's my new favorite blue.

In the Summertime

In the Summertime - bright sunny yellow creme. Swatch is 3 coats. Same formula as Wipeout and A Summer Song. Smooth, self levels and dries shiny. Opaque in 2 coats, 3rd coat makes it perfect. You can also do 2 coats with top coat.

Jansjo LED Light

Summer of '69 is an apricot orange holo. Swatch is 2 coats. That's it, 2 easy coats for perfectly smooth and opaque holo nails. The holo in this one is not super strong in my artificial light set up. I was lucky enough to capture it in sunlight (2nd pic) so you could actually see the holo. Macro is with the Jansjo LED light I've used before to show off the holo, note that this casts a strong yellow light so the pic has been color corrected in PS to the best of my ability. One would think that living in Florida I'd have plenty of sunshine to photographs holos in. Unfortunately, that's not the case. The area I live in is pretty forested, I'm right next door to a state park. Add to that my apartment is surrounded by other buildings and mature trees so I only get a little bit of sunlight in the mornings through my porch. My desk is also in my kitchen and away from any windows so I can't get any sunlight that way. That's why I use the Jansjo LED light.

Polkadot Bikini

Polkadot Bikini is a fun yellow and blue glitter bomb in a clear base. Swatch is 2 coats over A Summer Song. I brushed on 2 coats and got a great amount of glitters without having to fish for any. You can also apply it with a sponge for even more glitter coverage and less clear base. It dries pretty and smooth ans shiny on it's own as well. You can add top coat to smooth it out even further.

These polishes plus 6 others (2 more cremes, 2 more holos, and 2 more glitters) will be available for purchase May 27 at www.badbitchpolish.com. Make sure you're following BBP on Instagram, Facebook, and join the FB fan group for all the latest info and swatches!

I received these polishes as press samples in exchange for photos and an honest review.

  1. Summer of '69 is beautiful!!! You need to do a comparison with that blue and the original formula Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Pacific Blue!! Seems like that would be a good replacement!
